Best casino apps that pay real money in the US 2026

🧪 How we test: We check the latest App Store and Google Play listings each week and record the download size shown for each app.

📊 Test results: PlayStar (34MB) and bet365 (36MB) had the smallest download sizes we recorded. Fanatics was much larger at 593MB. If storage space is tight on your phone, that difference could make Fanatics a less practical choice.

🧪 How we test: We check each app’s minimum operating system requirement, then compare it with Apple and Google device compatibility information to see which older phones can still run the app.

📊 Test results: bet365 supports Android 7.0, giving it the broadest Android compatibility in our test. Hard Rock Bet and PlayStar support iOS 15, so they work with older iPhones than apps requiring newer software. Fanatics and Bally Bet both require iOS 17, which limits compatibility with older iPhone models.

🧪 How we test: We track App Store and Google Play ratings each week alongside the total number of ratings. A 4.7-star score based on 143,000 ratings carries more weight in our comparison than the same score based on a much smaller sample.

📊 Test results: BetMGM had the largest rating sample in our test, with 143,000 iOS ratings and a 4.7-star score. Fanatics scored slightly higher at 4.8 stars, but from 30,000 ratings. We give BetMGM’s score more weight because it reflects feedback from a much larger group of users.

🧪 How we test: We play a selection of live dealer games on each app using both Wi-Fi and 4G, checking table variety, provider selection, and streaming stability.

📊 Test results: Hard Rock Bet offered around 50 active live tables through Evolution Gaming, including a live American Roulette title we did not see on the other apps tested. bet365 also offered 50+ live games, powered by Playtech.

DraftKings stood out for its sports-themed live tables, including NBA, NFL, and NHL versions of blackjack and roulette. These gave it a noticeably different live casino selection from the other apps we tested.

BetMGM covered the main live casino categories well, with 25+ roulette tables, 14+ blackjack tables, and 10+ poker options. Its own review also notes that live games can struggle on weaker connections, which is worth considering if you often play on mobile data.

🧪 How we test: We submit withdrawal requests through each app and time how long it takes for the funds to arrive. Where direct testing is not available, we supplement our findings with verified user reviews.

📊 Test results: DraftKings and PlayStar were the fastest in our testing, with both e-wallet withdrawals arriving within 3 to 4 hours.

BetMGM withdrawals we tested arrived within 24 hours. Fanatics also stood out for accessibility, allowing withdrawals from just $1 and supporting both PayPal and Venmo.

Bally Bet showed more mixed results. Verified user reviews repeatedly mention debit card withdrawals taking around five days, while the operator has acknowledged delays during high-volume periods.

🧪 How we test: We browse each app’s mobile game library and record the number of games available by category, using operator-listed totals and our own checks in the app.

📊 Test results: Hard Rock Bet had the largest library we recorded, with 5,000+ games in New Jersey and Michigan. That was ahead of BetMGM at 2,900+ and Fanatics at 1,700+.

DraftKings varied much more by state, with 1,400+ games in New Jersey but around 350+ in West Virginia. That makes your location an important factor when comparing its game selection.

Bally Bet had around 400 games in our test. Its selection gives slots players plenty to browse, but we found fewer table game options than on the larger libraries.

Every app we tested gave us access to its available casino library on mobile, rather than a reduced mobile-only selection.

Fanatics Casino leads at 4.8 stars, the highest iOS rating of any real money casino app in the US. It was updated as recently as July 30, 2026. The catch: it requires iOS 17 and takes up 593MB of storage - so you'll need an iPhone XS or newer with space to spare.

BetMGM sits at 4.7 stars, but that score comes from 143,000 iOS reviews - nearly five times more than DraftKings and almost five times more than Fanatics. More reviews mean the score is harder to skew and easier to trust.

Hard Rock Bet or bet365 are my picks. Both work on iOS 15, covering iPhones going back to the 6s (2015). Fanatics and Bally Bet both require iOS 17, which rules out anything older than a 2018 iPhone XS.

PlayStar is the smallest at 33.5MB but is only available in New Jersey. If you're in another state, bet365 is the next lightest at 36.3MB and covers MI, NJ, and PA - still a fraction of what Fanatics (593MB) requires.

Almost every real money casino app accepts Apple Pay for deposits, making it one of the most widely supported payment methods. The one exception I found in my testing is PlayStar, which relies on PayPal, Skrill, and card payments instead.

Fanatics and Golden Nugget both lead at 4.7 stars. Golden Nugget is the more interesting pick - it actually scores higher on Android (4.7) than on iOS (4.6), which is rare. Worth noting it runs on the DraftKings platform, so the experience is near-identical.

DraftKings and BetMGM are the only two apps to pass 1 million Android downloads. If download volume signals operator investment in the Android experience, these two lead the field.

bet365 is my pick - it works on Android 7.0, covering any phone from 2016. DraftKings and Golden Nugget are the most restrictive, requiring Android 12 and ruling out anything older than a 2021 device.

Bally Bet - 4.6 on iOS but just 4.2 on Android, the largest gap of any app I tested. User reviews specifically flag crashes and bet-settling issues on Android.

Only one - bet365 is the only app in our test set listed as containing ads on Google Play.
